ABOUT 3C PRODUCTION
World-class expanding sealers! A Swedish innovation.
CC expanding sealers and CC Tape are innovations based on long experience in the construction industry. Through close contact with, among other things, wear and tear damage, the ideas for today’s product range for windows and doors were born. 3C products are well-proven and used in house construction pretty much all over the world.
CC expanding sealers for efficient operation of windows and doors.
We currently have two construction-related products. 3C expanding sealers that provides faster, easier and more efficient operation of windows and doors. CC tape for fast, accurate and work environment-friendly measurement of CC dimensions. We also have a follow-up product intended for use in claims settlement.
We supply sealers for windows and doors all over the world.
All manufacturing takes place in our own factory in Falkenberg, where our office is also located. We manufacture approximately 2,000 expanding sealers a day, deliver to 20 countries and are available at 400 retailers, including well-stocked builders’ merchants and the largest builders’ chains in the country.
Johan Strömberg
Innovator & CEO.
The history of CC expanding sealer – Our very first product.
The sealer are back! Carpenter Johan Strömberg has made a modern version of foam plastic.
The idea came to Johan Strömberg when he worked as a team base at Ugglarps Bygg (a construction company) in Falkenberg. One of the guys was caulking around windows. He had sprayed joint foam containing isocyanates and must therefore undergo a regular medical examination, according to the regulations for working with thermoplastics.
Johan Strömberg thought for a long time about something that could replace the joint foam. The result is a modern variation on tar gears that resembles a licorice belt. It consists of fine-pored foam plastic that has been pressed together to a thickness of 2 millimeters. The binder causes the strip to expand slowly up to full thickness, 30 millimeters.
It takes about an hour and a half for the strip to reach its full thickness. Then it doesn’t matter if you have to interrupt the work while you are doing the assembly, says Johan. If you use the strip instead of the joint foam, you avoid exposure to the dangerous isocyanates. The strip retains its elasticity. It allows the window in retrospect.
– Try to adjust a window where traditional joint foam was used. It doesn’t work, it’s rock hard, assures Johan. He does not want to reveal exactly what the binder consists of, like the inventor he is.
– But I can tell you this much that tar is included as an important part, says Johan, who has managed to interest the window manufacturers in his window drive.
Our production
We are proud to have our very own 3000 sq m factory for our daily operations and manufacturing of products. Today, we run the factory with the help of energy from our own solar park and with solid work for reuse and recycling. We care about having a cycle in the factory and as little impact on nature as possible. We do what we can to reduce emissions, as sustainability is something that permeates the entire company. From the first product idea to actual methods in daily operations.
Environmental work is a core value in 3C Productions’ operations and development. It is therefore a matter of course to optimize function, choose materials and production processes that have a minimal impact on the environment and to design the products in such a way that they are adapted to the circular society. In addition, it is the firm opinion of the entire company that a living and functioning nature is of the greatest importance for our quality of life. Through knowledge and active involvement, we must acquire, inspire and spread knowledge to the industry.
