Background of the expanding sealer
Johan Strömberg got the idea for the CC window insulation when he was working as a team leader at Ugglarps Bygg in Falkenberg. One of the guys was caulking around windows. He had used joint foam containing isocyanates and had a severe allergic reaction. You are also needed to undergo medical examinations, according to the regulations for working with thermoplastics as well. Johan thought for a long time about something that was better for people and the environment that could replace the joint foam.
After a long product development, it was finally finished and the CC window sealer was made. The CC window sealer consists of fine-porous foam plastic pressed together to a thickness of 2 millimeters. When opened the insulation expand slowly up to it’s full thickness of 30 millimeters. It’s faster, has better insulation properties than conventional insulation and is environmental friendly. It takes about an hour and a half for the strip to reach its full thickness.
Then it doesn’t matter if you have to interrupt the work while you are doing the assembly, says Johan. If you use the strip instead of the joint foam, you avoid exposure to the dangerous isocyanates. The strip retains its elasticity, which makes it possible to adjust the window afterwards.
Background of the CC tape
20 years in the construction industry wears on the body and the knees. Johan knows this from experience with three knee operations after his time working in the construction industry. Like many other carpenters, Johan has crawled on his knees and put his body under a lot of unnecessary wear and tear to mark out the correct CC measurements. This is until he invented a product that could make the work easier! A non-stretchable tape with exact measurements marked in 30 cm and 45 cm. A product that Johan hopes will make a big impact on the health of the everyday carpenter!
